TAKE ME BACK

Raised in Amsterdam, with a half French/half Dutch identity, coming from a musical family, the tone was set for my musical journey. As a teenager, I was handed a guitar, but the spark for creating my own songs ignited in my late teens.

In 2020, I reached out to producer Angelo de Rijke. Prior to that, I had written numerous songs and played in several bands, but our visions always differed. This led me to embark on my own project, determined to bring my musical dreams to life. I wanted to release my own songs and share my unique musical perspective with the world.

I am incredibly grateful that Angelo agreed to work with me. We organized several sessions and eventually decided to record six songs at Trypoul Studios. We booked the studio for six days, recording one song each day with the band. It was an unforgettable experience to spend those six days in the studio, watching the songs come to life.

'Take Me Back' is a journey through my life, touching on self-discovery, love, and my upbringing in the small town of Nikki in Benin, West Africa.
